Aldo's course had a lot of success among students, and more and more of them became interested in the practical training Aldo did in the optional sessions. Some of Aldo's students followed his steps and now are working for the famous search engine company 'Google', which is working on developing new and improved ways of retrieving data from the world wide web. By 1990, Aldo published more than 120 articles and participated in over 50 workshops and conferences around the world. His expertise served numerous program comities and organized himself several conferences. In 1991, Aldo diSorbo became Chair of the Department, and his main purpose was to attract more and more students to study Artificial Intelligence. He even supported an associated that sustained women who wanted to work in the science world.
