Aldo Disorbo - College

From his first year, Aldo began working with James Crovt, a renowned professor in Information Retrieval who at that time had a grant to do research in his field in collaboration with a small liberal arts school.

Aldo diSorbo was getting more and more interested in the subject and with his professor, he's thesis combined basic research and technology transfer, referring to a variety of government and industry patterns that existed at that time.

Aldo finished obtained his Doctorate in 1986 and continued the research of professor Crovt, who retired the same year. Alternatively, he became interested in data mining and distributed search, and the Department gave him the opportunity to work with students interested in the same subject.

After finalizing several papers on information retrieval, web search engines and cross-lingual retrieval, Aldo obtained a position as a professor in the Computer Science Department and began developing a special course related to his research.
